Deleting WLAN Profiles on Windows 8

Windows 8 doesn’t have a graphical user interface for managing WLAN profiles. Windows XP and 7 had one and it is beyond my comprehension why Microsoft would remove such a useful tool. With the command-line however, it is still possible to delete existing WLAN profiles. These are the necessary commands:

List the existing WLAN profiles:

netsh wlan show profiles

Delete a profile:

netsh wlan delete profile name="profilename"

UPDATE:

It is now possible to delete a WLAN using the GUI. To do so, right-click on it and select “Forget this network”:
